Young Love (Bee Gees parody)

by Jan-Paul van der Meij and Stevie Riks

/

about

JP van der Meij: " I recorded my song early seventies style using virtual instruments of today. British musicomedian Stevie Riks then added the vocals using his clever and hilarious interpretation of the 'Gibb' style. The song refers to both the early Bee Gees as well as the high pitched brothers in their most succesful period.

lyrics

YOUNG LOVE

There are older Mountains
There are older vines
There are older cellars
And there's older wine

There are bigger seashells
There are older wales
There are longer stories
And there's older tales

Yeah our love was a young love
And our love would be a strong love
Now our love is a gone love
Away

There are longer rivers
There are older seas
There are deeper canyons
And there's older tears

Our love was a young love
Ooo hoo oo
Now our love is a gone love

Sometimes I wonder what forever means
Could be a thing that starts and ends in dreams
Could be reality for those who believe
It's not the way this affairs meant to be
Our love was short
It wouldn't last no more
Now I feel sorry for my young love

Our love was a young love
And our love was a strong love
Now our love is a gone love
Awaaaaay

Our love was a young love...
